Coinbase CEO Discloses $1T Annual Stablecoin Flow, $20B USDC Holdings on Thursday

According to ChainCatcher, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong disclosed on Thursday that the platform processed nearly $1 trillion in stablecoin payments annually and holds approximately $20 billion in USDC. The platform's x402 payment protocol handled over 160 million autonomous transactions over the past year, according to the CEO. SEC filings show Coinbase's average USDC holdings reached $19 billion in Q1, a historic high, representing over 25% of total USDC in circulation.
