Coinbase Overhauls Advanced Trading Platform With Unified Liquidity, Expanding to Nearly 10,000 Assets

Coinbase has introduced a major redesign of its Advanced Trading platform, integrating crypto assets, equities, derivatives, and prediction markets into a single unified environment. The upgraded system will eventually allow users to trade nearly 10,000 stocks and ETFs, crypto assets, prediction markets, and derivatives from a single account, according to the company's announcement.

Key additions include an SEC-regulated AI investment advisor, commission-free stock and ETF trading, stock perpetuals with leverage, and expanded crypto derivatives access for U.S. users. The platform features unified global liquidity pools across U.S. and international venues to consolidate order books and support cross-margining between spot and derivatives positions. Coinbase is also expanding its use of USDC as a central settlement and collateral asset across multiple products.
