The tool marks Cursor's expansion beyond coding assistance into general enterprise productivity. The development comes as SpaceX prepares to acquire Cursor in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $60 billion, with completion expected in the third quarter; however, Cursor has not yet finalized whether to launch the Sand agent, with the product roadmap potentially influenced by the acquisition process.
