Daewoo E&C Completes $440M Al-Faw Port Highway Project in Iraq on July 8

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 8, Daewoo E&C completed construction of a highway connecting Iraq's Al-Faw port and Umm Qasr. The company received completion approval from Iraq's port authority at the end of June.

The $440 million design-build project ran from August 2021 to May 2025, followed by a one-year defect liability period. The roadway features four lanes, two bridges, and three roundabouts, with advanced pavement design systems engineered to handle heavy cargo vehicles.
