Delfin Midstream Approves First U.S. Floating LNG Export Facility, Targeting 4.4M Tons Annual Capacity

Delfin Midstream announced it has approved a final investment decision (FID) for the first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel for its Delfin LNG project, which is being developed offshore Louisiana and in the Gulf of Mexico. The company stated that "Delfin FLNG 1" will be the first floating liquefaction facility in the United States and the world's largest FLNG project, with projected annual LNG export capacity of 4.4 million tons.
