Denver-Los Angeles Flight Strikes Runway Intruder on Takeoff, 1 Dead and 12 Injured

On May 9, a flight departing Denver International Airport for Los Angeles struck a person who had breached security and entered the runway during takeoff, according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. The incident resulted in one fatality and 12 injuries on board, with 5 passengers transported to medical facilities. The pilot immediately aborted the takeoff procedure following the collision. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have launched an investigation into the accident.
