Europe Begins Contacts with Iran's Revolutionary Guards Over Strait of Hormuz Transit on May 16

According to Iran’s state broadcaster, European officials have started engaging with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Navy on May 16 to coordinate transit arrangements through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian authorities said they maintain control over navigation in the waterway. The report also noted that oil previously at risk of seizure has been recovered and sold.
