According to Jin10, fiber optic cable manufacturers are running at full capacity with orders booked through 2027 as artificial intelligence infrastructure buildout drives sustained demand. Ahengtong Fiber Technology, a major Jiangsu-based producer, reported first-quarter output increased 35% year-over-year, with overseas shipments surging 55%.

The key production bottleneck remains preform rods (optical fiber preforms), which manufacturers cannot source fast enough to meet demand. Domestic industry leaders are accelerating research, development, and capacity expansion in this critical component.
