Foxconn to Anchor Pax Silica Tech Hub in Philippines as Manila Joins 24-Nation AI Semiconductor Alliance

Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Foxconn intends to anchor the first US-led Pax Silica technology hub in New Clark City, Philippines, as the country formally positions itself within the 24-member coalition focused on securing semiconductor and AI infrastructure. The Philippines officially aligned with the initiative in April 2026. Philippine Finance Secretary Frederick Go stated the government aims to sign the formal framework agreement before year-end, integrating advanced semiconductor fabrication, hyperscale AI data centers, and regional Pax Silica coordination offices across approximately 1,618 hectares.
