French 10-Year Bond Yields Surge to 3.81%, Up 13.30bp on July 8 as Le Pen Clears Presidential Race

According to Yonhapinfomax, French 10-year sovereign bond yields surged to 3.8081% on July 8 (local time, morning), up 13.30bp in a single session. The 2-year yield climbed to 2.8412% and the 30-year to 4.7034%. Yields have risen 26bp this month alone.

The move followed far-right National Rally (RN) leader Marine Le Pen's court victory clearing her to run in 2027's presidential election, while she simultaneously leads all candidates in polling. European bond yields broadly advanced as U.S. President Donald Trump announced large-scale strikes on Iran, sending WTI crude up 7.50%.
