Fudan University Increases Undergraduate Enrollment by 300, All Positions for Future Industries

According to Gui Long Hui, Fudan University announced its 2026 undergraduate enrollment plan totaling 4,120 students on June 18, an increase of 300 from the previous year. Rather than distributing the additional slots across all majors, the university allocated all 300 positions to 13 emerging-field project classes aligned with national strategic priorities, including quantum technology, controllable nuclear fusion, chemical intelligence and computing, transformative materials and energy, intelligent wearables, digital twins, integrated chips and high-computing systems, next-generation multimodal large language models, digital security, embodied intelligence, smart electronics, future biotech manufacturing, and brain science with neuromorphic intelligence.
