Germany Procures 50,000 Attack Drones for Ukraine for €90 Million

According to German defense sources, Germany is procuring 50,000 attack drones for Ukraine at a cost of approximately €90 million ($103 million), as confirmed by Auterion CEO Lorenz Meier on July 13. The order represents one of the largest Western government drone purchases for Kyiv and involves Shrike FPV drones produced by Ukrainian manufacturer SkyFall, equipped with autonomous targeting software developed by U.S. defense technology firm Auterion. Some units have already been delivered to Ukraine, with the remainder expected by year-end.
