Germany's PPI Growth Slows to 1.8% in June, Down From 2.2% in May

According to Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), Germany's producer price index (PPI) rose 1.8% year-over-year in June, down from 2.2% in May. Month-over-month, the PPI declined 0.3% in June, reversing the previous month's 0.3% increase. Intermediate goods prices surged 5.1% year-over-year, up from 4.2% in May, while energy prices rose only 0.4%, a significant slowdown from May's 2.5%. Metal prices jumped 11.8%, and oil product prices climbed 23.7% year-over-year, partly driven by tensions in Iran and the Middle East region.
