The China Council for Promotion of International Trade released its latest global trade friction index in March, showing the metric remained at elevated levels. The comprehensive global trade friction index stood at 104 in March 2026. The financial value of global trade friction measures decreased 29.1% year-over-year but rose 2.8% month-over-month.
