Goldman Sachs Raises Taiwan and South Korea Stock Targets; TAIEX to 51,000, Kospi to 12,000

According to Goldman Sachs, the investment bank has raised its rating on Taiwan equities to overweight and upgraded price targets for both Taiwan's benchmark index and South Korea's Kospi index. Goldman Sachs raised the Taiwan Weighted Index target to 51,000 points, while lifting the Kospi target from 9,000 to 12,000 points. The bank cited robust profit growth in AI-related investments driving technology hardware companies, expecting the expansion to continue through 2028 and beyond in these two tech-dominated markets.
