Google to Raise Pixel Phone Prices as Memory Costs Surge Sixfold; Pixel 11 Launches Aug. 12

According to Google Vice President of Devices and Services Shakil Barkat, the company will raise prices on its Pixel phone lineup in response to soaring memory chip costs. Barkat cited Morgan Stanley data showing a sixfold increase in RAM prices, with 1 GB jumping from $2.80 in 2025 to $12 in 2026. The entire Pixel family, including the upcoming Pixel 11 series, will see price "adjustments rolled out dynamically," though specifics will be announced on Aug. 12. Leaked reports suggest the base Pixel 11 Pro may downgrade from 16 GB to 12 GB of RAM, while both Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro models could see roughly $100 price increases.
