Guinea to Restrict Bauxite Exports Starting Next Month, 75% Goes to China

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on May 26, Guinea plans to restrict bauxite exports beginning next month. Over 75% of Guinea's bauxite production is currently exported to China, which accounts for approximately three-quarters of China's bauxite imports. When asked about the planned export controls, Mao Ning stated that all countries have a responsibility to maintain supply chain stability, though the Foreign Ministry indicated it was still gathering details on Guinea's specific measures.
