Half of Korean Research Directors Predict KOSPI Support at 6,000-6,500; July 29 SK Hynix Earnings Key Test

According to a Korea Economic TV survey of 18 research center directors, nine respondents identified 6,000-6,500 as KOSPI's key support level amid current market volatility. Four additional directors cited 6,500-7,000 as potential support; however, some brokerages including Sangsangin Securities and KB Securities warned that extreme scenarios could see support drop to 4,000-4,500.

Analysts attributed the market selloff primarily to semiconductor peak-out concerns (cited by 10 directors) and fund imbalances (8 directors), with single-stock leverage products exacerbating volatility. SK Hynix's earnings announcement on July 29 is viewed as a critical turning point for market direction.
