Heat Waves in England and Wales Likely Caused Over 2,700 Deaths This Summer, Research Shows

According to Bloomberg, research released Monday by Imperial College London, the UK Met Office, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine estimates that heatwaves in England and Wales this summer have likely caused over 2,700 deaths. The study found that climate change increased temperatures during heat waves by 3-4 degrees Celsius, accounting for more than 40% of the estimated deaths.
