HSBC Cuts 2026 Gold Price Forecast to $4,560 per Ounce, Cites Hawkish Fed Policy

According to HSBC, the bank lowered its 2026 and 2027 gold price forecasts on July 10, citing expectations for a more hawkish Federal Reserve stance and continued U.S. dollar strength. HSBC reduced its 2026 average gold price forecast from $4,864 per ounce to $4,560, and its 2027 forecast from $5,000 to $4,925. The bank expects gold to trade between $3,800 and $4,700 for the remainder of 2026, closing near $4,750 by year-end.
