According to CCTV, on July 6, the inaugural Global AI Governance Dialogue was held in Geneva with approximately 1,500 representatives from around the world participating over two days.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated in his opening remarks that artificial intelligence is developing at an astonishing pace, emphasizing the need for collective stewardship rather than allowing AI to control humanity. He highlighted that the dialogue marks the first opportunity for every country to participate in global AI governance, calling for converting global participation into concrete action to make AI safer, fairer, more accessible, and more ethical.
