According to Bank of America Securities analyst Vivek Arya, Intel is gaining footing in the AI infrastructure wave, with its second-quarter earnings demonstrating renewed competitive strength. The company's core server CPU business grew nearly 59% year-over-year in Q2, driven by new product launches and increasing agentic AI deployment demand.
Arya noted that as semiconductor supply remains constrained globally, large customers are prioritizing stable supply sources. Intel's domestic manufacturing capability for advanced processes provides strategic value. The analyst projects that if the company successfully executes its roadmap—including 18A and 14A process technologies—earnings could grow to 4 times current levels within 3-4 years. Multiple brokerages recently raised price targets, with Baird lifting its target to $125 on July 27.
