Iran Demands Ceasefire Before Talks, Supreme Leader Vows Retaliation on July 11

According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, Iran on July 11 rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to negotiate without a ceasefire, insisting a truce must precede any talks. The agency reported that Iran has not requested negotiations with the U.S. and will not engage in any talks unless the American side first fulfills previously agreed conditions, with a ceasefire as the prerequisite outlined in the initial memorandum of understanding.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Morteza Khamenei vowed retaliation against the United States and Israel for deaths caused by their attacks, stating: "I swear by your pure blood and the blood of all martyrs in these two wars that we will surely take revenge on the shameful murderers who committed these crimes." He emphasized that this retaliation is a national demand that must be fulfilled.
