Iran Executes Armed Figure in Isfahan Riots on May 25

According to Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Abbas Akbari, an armed participant in riots that occurred in Isfahan Province's Nain County in January, was executed by hanging on May 25. The Iranian judiciary stated that Akbari, as one of the "armed leaders," had attacked government and security institutions and opened fire on security personnel during the January disturbances.
