Iran Launches Missile and Drone Strikes Against U.S. Military Bases on June 3, Citing American Attacks

According to CCTV and Odaily, early on June 3, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched missile and drone strikes against U.S. military bases in the region and U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters, responding to American attacks on Iranian facilities.

The IRGC said U.S. artillery struck an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz on June 2 evening, damaging its engine room. In retaliation, Iran's aerospace forces targeted U.S. installations. Iran previously warned that disrupting the Strait of Hormuz's security would exact a heavy price on American forces.
