According to Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei, on May 29, talks between Iran and the United States remain ongoing but no final consensus has been reached. Baghaei stated that Western parties cannot use mandatory language when discussing Iran, emphasizing that Iran will make decisions based solely on its people's interests and rights. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Baghaei reiterated that Iran and Oman must establish mechanisms to protect their interests as coastal nations while ensuring international navigation safety.
