Iranian Lawmaker Blames European Tanker for Oil Pollution Near Kharg Island on May 9

GateNews

According to Iranian lawmaker Jafar Pourkabani, on May 9, oil pollution detected near Kharg Island was caused by a European tanker’s discharge of oil residue and ballast water waste, not by Iran’s oil storage facilities. Satellite imagery supports the claim, Pourkabani said, dismissing media reports that Iran dumped crude oil due to full storage capacity.
