Iranian-Trained Terrorist Arrested for Plotting to Assassinate Ivanka Trump, May 23

According to the New York Post, on May 23, a 32-year-old Iraqi national named Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, trained by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was arrested for plotting to assassinate Ivanka Trump as retaliation. The suspect allegedly vowed to kill Trump's elder daughter and reportedly planned to target her residence in Florida.

The plot is reportedly in retaliation for the 2020 death of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, who was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad. "After Qasem was killed, he told people everywhere, 'We must kill Ivanka, just like Trump burned our home, we will burn Trump's family too'," said Entifadh Qanbar, former deputy military attaché at Iraq's Washington embassy.
