According to Iranian officials, Pakistan's Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Tehran on May 22 to advance negotiations between Iran and the United States. Bajwa will meet with senior Iranian officials during the visit. An Iranian official stated that the visit "does not necessarily mean all parties have reached final consensus on an initial framework for an agreement."
