According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Japan and Italy on May 3 to discuss regional situation and ceasefire efforts. During the calls, Araghchi outlined Iran’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending what he characterized as the U.S.-Israeli conflict and emphasized the need for responsible international action to ease regional tensions.
