According to Jin10, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy political deputy on May 27 claimed the U.S. has suffered a "strategic failure" in reopening the Strait of Hormuz after the waterway was blockaded. The official warned that Iranian armed forces are prepared to respond and stated that areas from Chabahar to Mahshahr "will become the grave of aggressors," pledging "severe retaliation" against hostile forces.
