ITER's Superconducting Magnet Testing Facility Becomes Operational on May 28

GateNews
According to Jin10 citing ITER's announcement, on May 28, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) officially put its superconducting magnet cryogenic testing facility into operation. Located at the ITER site in southern France, the facility was retrofitted within an existing building and is designed to test superconducting magnet performance at rated operating temperatures and a maximum current of 68,000 amperes before installation into the main ITER device. The magnet system will be the world's largest and most highly integrated system of its kind.
