Japan's Defense Ministry Machinery Orders Hit 2.69 Trillion Yen in Fiscal 2025, Up 3-Fold in 5 Years

According to Japan's Cabinet Office, defense-related machinery orders for fiscal 2025 reached approximately 2.69 trillion yen, a roughly 3-fold increase over the past five years. The orders accounted for nearly half of the government's total public demand orders of 5.53 trillion yen. Increased orders for air-to-ground missile systems and aircraft drove the growth.
