Japan's Nikkei 225 Rises 0.59% to 66,508.89 on July 23 as Tech Stocks Surge

According to Yonhap Infomax, Japan's Nikkei 225 Index rose 393.29 points (0.59%) to 66,508.89 on July 23, while the TOPIX Index climbed 14.97 points (0.37%) to 4,048.10. The gains were driven by strength in semiconductor and AI-related stocks, including Advantest, which surged over 4%, following overnight gains in U.S. tech shares Nvidia (+2.30%) and Broadcom (+2.67%). Alphabet reported second-quarter revenue and earnings per share above market expectations and raised its full-year capital expenditure guidance to $195–205 billion from $180–190 billion.
