Japan's PM Approval Rating Falls to Lowest Level, Raising Pressure on Yen and Bonds

According to Naka Matsuzawa, Chief Strategist at Nomura Securities, Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takichi's approval rating has recently declined to its lowest level since taking office, which may prompt the government to adopt more expansionary fiscal and tax policies. Though the approval rating remains above 50%, market strategists warn that deteriorating polling could pressure the yen and Japanese bonds if policymakers intensify stimulus measures.
