According to Coinbase's July 30, 2025 announcement, JPMorgan Chase and Coinbase launched a strategic partnership enabling Chase customers to link bank accounts directly to Coinbase wallets and redeem Ultimate Rewards points for USDC, the USD-pegged stablecoin on Coinbase's Base network, beginning in 2026. The partnership also allows Chase credit cards to be used directly on Coinbase, a feature that became available in fall 2025.
Chase U.S. account holders can currently fund cryptocurrency exchanges registered with FINRA and regulated by FinCEN via ACH transfers, wire transfers, or Chase-issued debit cards without fixed monthly limits. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon announced in May 2025 that the bank would allow clients to buy Bitcoin while explicitly stating the institution would not provide custody services.
