Kiwoom Launches Hybrid Bond-Stock ETF on July 7 as Retirement Fund Allocations Surge 258%

According to the Korea Exchange on July 10, Kiwoom Investment Asset Management launched the "Kiwoom SpaceTech Hybrid 50" ETF on July 7, allocating 50% to SpaceX and Rocket Lab stocks and 50% to domestic short-term bonds. The move comes as hybrid bond ETFs—which can occupy 100% of retirement accounts while effectively raising equity exposure to 85%—gained momentum. Net assets of hybrid bond ETFs reached 12.34 trillion Korean won on July 9, surging 258.73% from 3.44 trillion won at end-2025. Kiwoom plans to launch another product, "Kiwoom Hyundai Motors Group Top 3 Hybrid 50," on July 14, with 50% allocation to Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Hyundai Mobis, and 50% to domestic bonds.
