Korea's National Pension Fund CIO Explores AI, Infrastructure Investments Across Europe Late June

According to Yonhapinfomax, Seo Won-ju, chief investment officer of South Korea's National Pension Fund (NPF), visited Munich, Stockholm, and London from June 21-26 to assess investment opportunities amid global economic changes. The fund engaged with major European financial institutions to gauge their outlook on Korean and global equity markets as the domestic stock market rallies.

During the tour, NPF widened its focus on artificial intelligence-related investments across private equity, credit, and infrastructure sectors. Discussions centered on renewable energy transitions, data centers, power grids, and digital infrastructure. The fund also examined European residential real estate strategies, reflecting a shift from traditional office investments toward housing and AI infrastructure as part of broader portfolio diversification efforts.
