KRX K-Content Index Up 2.94% in July as Semiconductor Stocks Weaken

According to Korea Exchange, as of today (July 8), the KRX K-Content Index rose 2.94% so far this month, while the KOSPI and KOSDAQ declined 14.51% and 14.32% respectively. The index comprises media, entertainment, and content companies including Hybe, JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and YG Entertainment. Related ETFs also gained traction, with ACE KPOP Focus, HANARO FN K-POP&Media, and TIGER Media Content rising 11.83%, 10.86%, and 5.35% over the past week, driven by institutional inflows. Institutions net-purchased 158.3 billion won of Hybe, 24.4 billion won of SM Entertainment, 14.2 billion won of JYP, and 3.4 billion won of YG this month, according to the exchange.
