LG Display Posts Operating Loss of 1.077 Trillion Won in Q2 2026 After Staff Restructuring

According to South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service, LG Display reported an operating loss of 1.077 trillion Korean won in the second quarter of 2026, with revenue of 5.6121 trillion won. The loss marks the company's first operating deficit in four quarters, attributed to voluntary retirement expenses.

The Q2 performance aligns with market expectations from major domestic securities firms, which projected revenue of 5.624 trillion won and an operating loss of 1.026 trillion won. This represents the company's second consecutive loss compared to the same period last year.
