Lithium Carbonate Prices Fall 2,000 Yuan Per Ton on May 22 as Inventory Expected to Clear in May-June

According to Jin10 Futures, on May 22, lithium carbonate prices declined 2,000 yuan per ton to 177,500–180,700 yuan per ton. The LC2609 futures contract closed at 184,460 yuan per ton, up 1.61% from the previous trading day, with open interest at 452,800 contracts. Lithium supply contracted in May while demand increased month-over-month; overall inventory is expected to clear significantly in May-June, supporting a consolidating uptrend for prices in the near term.
