Lundin Mining's Caserones Copper Mine to Resume in 2-3 Weeks After July 18 Blackout

According to Lundin Mining, on July 18, the Caserones copper mine in Chile was disconnected from power after a severe storm damaged two transmission towers supplying the facility. The company announced on Monday that heavy rainfall and snowfall caused the infrastructure damage.

Lundin Mining expects operations to resume within approximately two to three weeks. The company's teams are working to repair the damaged transmission infrastructure, and road access to the mine is gradually being restored.
