Macron Calls Escalation in Southern Lebanon Unjustified, UN Security Council to Meet June 1

According to CCTV, French President Emmanuel Macron said on May 31 that the ongoing escalation in southern Lebanon lacks any justification and called for urgent U.S.-Iran negotiations. At France's request, the UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on June 1 (U.S. Eastern Time) to discuss Israel's expanded military operations in Lebanon.
