Maersk Raises 2026 EBITDA Guidance to $8-10B on Strong Asia Demand

According to Maersk, on June 29 the shipping giant raised its 2026 core EBITDA guidance from $4.5-7 billion to $8-10 billion, with core EBIT forecast increased to $2-4 billion, both exceeding analyst expectations. The company also upgraded global container volume growth outlook to approximately 4% from the prior 2-4% estimate. CEO Clerc noted that freight demand remained robust throughout the first half despite geopolitical disruptions and energy market volatility, with momentum expected to continue through year-end.
