Malaysia Extends MH370 Wreckage Search Agreement to Cover 7,428 Square Kilometers

According to Malaysia's transport ministry statement on June 29, the Malaysian government extended its search agreement with underwater exploration company Ocean Infinity to continue searching for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 remnants in the southern Indian Ocean. The agreement extension aims to allow Ocean Infinity to complete the search operations on the remaining 7,428.54 square kilometers of sea area. The new search phase is scheduled to take place between November 2026 and April 2027, during a period of more favorable sea conditions.
