According to Xinhua, Malta's ruling Labour Party won parliamentary elections on June 1 with 51.77% of the vote, defeating the opposition Nationalist Party. This marks the fourth consecutive parliamentary election victory for the Labour Party since 2013. Prime Minister Robert Abela was sworn in for his new term the same day.
