Nvidia Unveils Nemotron 3 Ultra, Top U.S. Open Model, but Ranks Below China's Kimi K2.6

According to Nvidia, CEO Jensen Huang unveiled Nemotron 3 Ultra at Computex on June 1—a 550-billion-parameter open-weight AI model that ranks as the most intelligent American open-source system. The model achieved an Intelligence Index score of 48 on Artificial Analysis' composite benchmark and delivers over 300 output tokens per second, three to six times faster than comparable Chinese rivals.

However, Kimi K2.6 from Moonshot AI still leads the open-weight ranking at 54 on the same index, released in April 2026. Nemotron 3 Ultra ships June 4.
