According to Bloomberg, Microsoft told sales staff at internal meetings yesterday to pitch Copilot and its broader AI platform against OpenAI and Anthropic based on lower costs, wider product coverage, and enterprise security. CEO Satya Nadella cited Unilever as an example, noting that a claims-processing system built on Microsoft's platform saved approximately $300 million. Microsoft's platform includes Azure AI Foundry, which offers models from multiple providers, and the company stated that Copilot includes enterprise security controls and does not use customer prompts to train foundation models.
