According to Foresight News, Midnight Foundation announced on July 21 that it has coordinated with six major exchanges—KuCoin, Kraken, Binance, Bybit, OKX, and MEXC—to restrict the flow of stolen assets. The exchanges have implemented preventive measures including freezing accounts and addresses linked to the attack, blacklisting wallets associated with the attacker, and temporarily suspending NIGHT deposits and withdrawals where appropriate.

The stolen assets stem from an attack on Wanchain's Cardano cross-chain bridge, according to BlockSec Phalcon monitoring. Approximately 515 million NIGHT tokens were compromised. Midnight Foundation clarified that the vulnerability originated from the third-party cross-chain bridge, not from the NIGHT token itself.
