Mitsubishi UFJ Becomes Japan's Most Valuable Company, Market Cap Reaches $259 Billion

According to Bloomberg, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group became Japan's most valuable company on Monday (July 7), with a market capitalization of 42 trillion yen ($259 billion). The stock rose 2.3% to 3,541 yen, surpassing Toyota Motor's 41 trillion yen market cap and Kioxia Holdings' 36.7 trillion yen valuation. This marks the first time a bank has topped Japan's market cap rankings since the current "Big Three Banking Groups" structure was established.
